The Parish Council has a Community Orchard situated to the rear of Hemmingway, Chaddesley Corbett, which is administered by a Management Committee.
The first planting of fruit trees took place in February 2009 and all have taken.
Fruit from trees in the Community Orchard will be available free of charge to residents and friends of the Parish.
Benches have been donated by families to commemorate their relatives and are available for all to use.
Chaddesley Corbett Parish Council recently received a Grant from Awards for all to install fencing along the footpath side of the orchard with pedestrian and tractor gates. This was necessary to improve the environment for users of the orchard.
Dog owners are advised that dogs are permitted on the Orchard but they must be under control and owners must ‘pick up’ after them.
Play equipment has been installed on the Orchard. This is regularly monitored by the Parish Council and is inspected by the manufacturer three times a year and a detailed report submitted.
